SailingBo 2.0
Hi there. Back in 2004 I started SailingBo.com so family & friends could keep up with me as I took a semester off of college, moved onto a 25′ sailboat and sailed around the Gulf of Mexico. If you have any interest in seeing the old site, I’m keeping it alive for now. Feel free to take a look.
But now, after almost 5 years in the corporate world, I’ve decided to make some changes in my life, both personally and professionally. Inspired by hundreds of travel blogs, the Matador Network, and Tim Ferris’s “4-Hour Work Week”, I’m going to try my hand at something more location-independent. This site will serve as my home-base.
I’ve created a Life List, and I’m going to work towards checking off the items, one by one. A major theme in my life list is to spend more time writing, whether it’s journal or blog entries, travel articles, or even books. This site will hopefully play a large role in that. And since I’ve had a few extra cups of coffee this morning, I’m going to pre-load this thing with a few pieces I’d written months (or in some cases, years) ago. Most of these entries were for my family’s blog, but several are from my journal and have never been read by anyone before.
So, if you have a minute, take a look at one of the entries below, or visit the “About” page to learn a little more about me.
